As America is seduced by the charm of all that is British, the Québec scene is equally enthralled. Soon a bevy of young talented artists and musicians are adapting this music and releasing French versions of American and British hits.
What follows is a sort of hysteria around this new-found freedom of expression. Barely out of the Quiet Revolution, the Québec musical scene was about to be shaken to its foundation and live through a revolution much noisier and louder than what had transpired before! This new energy would completely change pop culture and society in general.
